Welcome to Sparwild Safaris. By booking or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional information provided in our booking documents or FAQs.

2. About Sparwild

Sparwild Safaris connects travelers with trusted safari operators and local guides across Africa. We arrange tailor-made tours, wildlife safaris, beach holidays, and cultural trips in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and beyond.
All safaris and services are provided by licensed partners and local operators.

3. Booking and Payment

  • A deposit (usually 30–50%) is required to confirm your booking.

  • The remaining balance is due before or upon the start of the safari, as stated in your booking confirmation.

  • Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card, or mobile payment (Mpesa, etc.).

  • Your booking is confirmed only after payment is received and acknowledged.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • 60+ days before tour: Full refund minus admin fees.

  • 30–59 days: 50% refund.

  • Less than 30 days: No refund.

  • No-shows or missed departures are non-refundable.

  • Refunds are processed in the same currency and method used for payment.

  • In case of unforeseen events (illness, flight cancellations, political unrest, etc.), we’ll do our best to reschedule or offer credit.

5. Changes to Your Trip

We may need to adjust routes, lodges, or activities due to weather, park regulations, or safety reasons. Any changes will be communicated in advance whenever possible. Equivalent alternatives will be provided.

6. Responsibilities

  • Sparwild’s responsibility: We plan and coordinate your safari experience with care, ensuring that our partners meet safety and service standards.

  • Traveler’s responsibility: You must hold valid travel documents (passport, visas), vaccinations, and travel insurance.

  • You agree to follow park rules and the guide’s instructions during the safari for your own safety.

7. Travel Insurance

All travelers must have personal travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, and loss of belongings.

8. Wildlife and Safety

Sparwild Safaris operates in wild and remote areas. While we take all reasonable precautions, wildlife encounters and outdoor travel carry inherent risks. By booking, you accept these risks and agree not to hold Sparwild or its partners liable for accidents or loss beyond our control.

9. Reviews and Conduct

We welcome honest reviews and feedback. Abusive, defamatory, or misleading content will not be tolerated. Travelers and guides are expected to maintain respectful behavior throughout the trip.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, or airline strikes).

11. Privacy

Your personal information is used only to manage your booking and improve our services. We never share your data with third parties without consent.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes will be handled in Kenyan courts.

Booking and Payment Policies

To confirm your safari or tour, a deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit amount depends on the package and arrangements involved (typically 30–50% of the total cost).

  • The balance is due before the tour begins or on the day of departure, as stated in your booking confirmation.

  • You can conveniently pay online or at our Ruiru office. There are no hidden fees or extra charges. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express for secure payments.

  • All Sparwild African Tours And Safaris’ official bank accounts are based in Nairobi, Kenya. We do not operate or request payments to any bank account outside Kenya. Any communication suggesting otherwise should be treated as fraudulent and reported to us immediately.
  • Your booking will be confirmed only after payment is received and acknowledged by Sparwild Safaris.

Flexible Payment Options

Depending on your trip, you may be given one of the following payment options:

1. Deposit + Balance on Arrival

  • Pay an initial 30%–50% deposit when confirming your booking.

  • Pay the remaining balance directly on arrival (Strictly Via Sparwild Bank Transfer).

2. Full Payment Upfront

  • Some tours, especially those involving flights or non-refundable lodges, may require 100% prepayment.

  • You will be notified if this applies before confirming your booking.

Cancellation Policies

We understand travel plans can change. Our cancellation policies are designed to be fair to both our guests and the local partners we work with.

1. Flexible Cancellation Policy

  • More than 14 days before travel: Refund of 80% of the total tour cost.

  • 7–13 days before travel: 50% refund.

  • Less than 7 days or no-show: No refund.

  • Refund method: Refunds will be made to the original payment method within 7–14 business days.

2. Moderate Cancellation Policy

(Applies to most mid-range safaris and lodge bookings)

  • More than 30 days before travel: 75% refund.

  • 15–29 days before travel: 50% refund.

  • Less than 15 days before travel or no-show: No refund.

3. Strict Cancellation Policy

(Applies to peak-season, flight-in safaris, or non-refundable lodge bookings)

  • Once confirmed: 100% cancellation fee.

  • No refunds for cancellations or no-shows.

Changes to Bookings

If you wish to change your travel dates or itinerary, Sparwild Safaris will assist wherever possible.
Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs from lodges, airlines, or park authorities.

No-Show Policy

Failure to arrive on the scheduled departure date is considered a no-show and is non-refundable.

Refunds

Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 7–14 business days using the original payment method, minus any transfer or processing fees.

Important Notes

  • Cancellation and refund terms may vary depending on the service providers (lodges, airlines, or transport operators).

  • In all cases, the terms outlined in your individual booking confirmation will take precedence.

  • We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations or emergencies.
