It is good with Skullclamp, it is probably just good enough to play in tribal decks
Coming out alongside Core Set 2019 , it immediately sounded alarm bells from players about Wizards putting actual tournament playable cards as buy-a-box promos just one set after promising they'd be unplayable in a tournament setting

For Prey Upon to be good, green needs to have bigger common creatures than every other color (particularly ones available on turns three and four) and for cheap, instant-speed interaction to be scarce
Thanks to a mix of synergy, low cost and an ever-increasing amount of card choices, youd be silly to overlook them
