Thankfully, we have ways to cheat on the cost, with Runaway Steam-Kin making our one-mana cantrips free as long as we can get it up to three counters and Dreadhorde Arcanist allowing us to flash back a cheap spell to further grow our Kiln Fiend
In addition, dusting changes the tenor of conversations around the game
While this increase, in and of itself is a huge story, the fact that the first half of 2015 was the most inexpensive Standard in a long time makes the price jump feel even worse
It also further supports the decks dragon synergies
Flavor-wise I really like the idea of countering spells to produce mana, but unfortunately since the mana is produced after the counter spell is played, you end up with a lot of useless mana
I cant recommend spending that much on a precon no matter how much you want the new cards, so just be cautious of the price gouging on this one
